About us

A brief synopsis of who we are, in our own words (almost).

Dan Egan
I am not Dan Egan, but I can tell you that he has long been interested in Albany, and making Albany better, serving now as Board of Education President.  Let's be clear that the opinions he expresses here are HIS, and should not be linked to the Board in any way, shape, or form.

Ginnie Farrell
I believe that how we behave civically can shape the world around us.  Albany is the birthplace and home of some of the most important people in my life.  It’s my hope that by working together we can continue to make it a wonderful place to live.

The things that make think the way I do, in chronological order:  growing up with my parents and three older brothers in Boston of the 70s and 80s; access to, and success in, the oldest public school system in this nation; a practical and challenging education at that engineering school on the hill in Troy; a varied, but stable, career; marrying someone smarter and more energetic than I; being blessed and challenged by three great children; realizing the work and sacrifices by many for me, and feeling a need to give something back.
